Stephen was born and raised in New York City. He received a bachelor's degree in sociology from Boston College. Because Stephen excelled in all his academic endeavors, he was on his way to a finacially stable future at Goldman Sachs. However, Stephen needed to embrace his creative capabilities (particularly while he was still capable of growing a unique red afro).
Stephen's sociological background was closely correlated with his love of acting. As Shakespeare and Erving Goffman both knew, "All the world is a stage and all the men and women merely players." This revelation encouraged Stephen to continue sharpening his acting through College and there after. The highlight of his acting education was a masters class taught by Alec Baldwin and Michael Discher. Stephen has been featured on Law & Order SVU and ESPN the magazine. He has also been in several short films and commercials.
In addition to acting, Stephen has a profound affinity for fine arts. He studied drawing with Richard Mulhern and honed his painting skills with help and inspiration from Mary Sherman, Andrew Taverelli, Cheryl Green, and Julie Harvey. When it comes to art Stephen does not discriminate: he has painted murals, created clothing for dogs. He has also designed bathrooms, web pages, as well as T-shirts and hats (for humans). However, he is most known for his canvases that involve word play. Some chose to call them "puntings."
Stephen also enjoys writing. He credits his two favorite writing teachers for helping him find his voice, Ann Lightcap Bruno and Michael Lowenthal. Stephen has several projects in the works which you will be informed of soon (assuming you check back in).
